2015 Undergraduate Research Events
Posters-at-the-Capitol in Frankfort enables the members of the KY House and Senate to see the important role undrgraduate research plays in the education of students and its impact on the state's investment in scientific research. This year, 129 unique research projects will be on display in the Capital Building February 19th from 9:00am - 3:00pm.
Additionally, on February 18th, 23 Project Lead the Way (PLTW) projects will be part of the Pre-Posters-at-the-Capitol Display from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. PLTW is a program for middle and high school students using problem based curriculum where participants in the fields of engineering and biomedical sciences are taught skills that lead them to complete a research project.
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research, which will host upwards of 4,500 undergraduate oral and poster presentations, is being hosted by the Eastern Washington University in 2015.
Posters-on-the-Hill in Washington, DC, enables members of Congress to see the impact and importance of making federal funding available for research.
